Kokedama workshop for teams
Our kokedama workshop is a unique, hands-on experience where guests create two Japanese-inspired moss ball planters each, using natural materials. Designed for corporate events, it works well for team building, wellbeing and celebrations. Guests learn the techniques behind kokedama while creating a piece they can display at home or in the office. No glass so it is very easy to transport home, even on the tube! We can host at your office or a venue of your choice, across London and the UK, as well as virtually for remote teams.

FAQ
Q - How does set up work?
A - Our instructor arrives around 1 hour before the event to set up. After the workshop, they typically need around 30 minutes to clear down, though we recommend allowing up to 1 hour to be safe.
Q - How does the instructor arrive?
A - Our instructor will usually arrive by small van or car. Access to a loading bay or nearby parking is helpful if available, but not essential.
Q - Can the workshop be longer than 1 hour?
A - Yes. We recommend allowing around 1 hour 15 minutes if possible, though 1 hour works well for most events. We can extend the session or adapt it to fit around drinks or catering if needed
.
Q - Can the workshop be shorter or more flexible?
A - Yes, a drop-in format works well for larger or more casual events. This is typically run over 2-3 hours, with guests joining at any time. Each guest usually spends around 30 minutes making their kokedama, but can stay longer if they wish.
Q - What is a kokedama?
A - Kokedama is a Japanese planting style where plants are grown in a ball of soil, wrapped in moss and bound with string. It creates a natural, sculptural display that can be placed on a surface or hung.
Q - How will guests take their kokedama home?
A - We provide paper bags for all guests.
Q - What do you need from us at our office?
A - Just tables and chairs for guests. A hard floor is ideal, but if the space is carpeted we ask that a vacuum cleaner is available. We use contained soil and provide table mats, so any mess is minimal and easy to clean. Our instructor will also bring a dustpan and brush.
Q - We don’t know final guest numbers yet
A - No problem. Please book based on your minimum expected number. Final numbers can be confirmed up to 7 days before the event. Full terms available on request.
Q - How does invoicing work?
A - We typically invoice during the week of the event. Payment can be made by bank transfer or online card payment, including Amex. Our standard payment terms are 30 days.
Q - Can this be hosted at an external venue?
A - Yes. All we need are tables and chairs for guests. Each guest requires a similar amount of space as they would for dining. If you need help sourcing a venue, we can recommend options.
