Since lock-down started early last year, the team at Jar and Fern has moved into a virtual space to deliver our engaging horticultural workshops. Our guests have still enjoyed the same informative classes on terrariums, kokedama and succulent arrangements, all with an in depth delivery of botanical know-how, and their very own easy to care for product to keep at home.
Whether we're teaching small groups of four people, or large zoom calls of up to one hundred and fifty, we've loved the opportunity to keep our classes going with the same content as before. Our friendly and informed team hasn't let lock-down get in the way of our passion for plants and workshops. We've been really grateful to be able to continue with our classes, and although we can't be there in person, the team has plenty of experience to relay an in-depth session, with a relaxed and
approachable atmosphere that will allow even total beginners to make a beautiful, long lasting plant arrangement.
We've still got the same exciting range of products available to workshop. Our products include succulent arrangements, kokedama and terrariums which come in either kilners, or large stylish jars with a cork lid.
Our terrarium classes include an interesting segment on the history of the practice, as well as an in-depth description on how these easy-to-care for, self watering specimens survive. If you're looking for a virtual activity for a small party or large corporate get together, the team will be happy to help and impart expert knowledge to you in the comfort of your own home.
Virtual classes usually run for around an hour, and in that time we introduce guests to the plants used, as well as all of the components included in the kit. We demonstrate a step by step class, showing you how to carefully make our products, with expert advice. We also take plenty of time to answer questions in between steps and once everyone has finished their kits, we deliver detailed instruction on how to keep your plants happy and thriving.
We ship kits with absolutely everything needed to make our products. Within our kits are carefully curated plants that are both attractive and easy to care for to give you a long lasting bit of greenery, along with comprehensive tuition that will help you keep your plants fresh and vibrant. We don't expect anyone to be green fingered either, so don't worry! Our classes are perfect for beginners and
many of our products are more low maintenance than most houseplants!
